This includes:

Extra staff added to the busiest services to help reduce workloads (assessment, care planning and leaving care)

More management capacity added across the service to improve the support for frontline staff

Launching partnership Early Help Offer to help reduce demand where statutory intervention is not necessary

Work with partners on understanding thresholds, referral quality and appropriateness

Over £4m committed to date to deliver improvements in 18/19 in addition to almost £11m into the base budget

Over £7m due to be added to the Children’s Services base budget from 2019/20 and ongoing

Over £700K of additional funding for business support in 2018/19

32 additional business support officers enabling more support for social care meetings

30K investment in staff well being

We are looking for passionate social workers who can demonstrate their skills, resilience and experience in;

Managing complex cases

Carrying out Child and Family Assessments with analysis of complex information

Working directly with children, young people and their families evidencing multi-agency partnerships with a robust understanding of thresholds of need.

Strong interpersonal skills to engage with families and referrers from all partner agencies

Excellent analytical and writing skills and the ability to incorporate the Strengthening Families Model in your practice which builds on families’ strengths with a focus on protective factors.

Effective time management skills to deliver within expected timeframes.

Your experience of working in a statutory setting will allow you to operate with confidence and emotional intelligence; using research to support your decision making and creating plans focused on creating positive change in children and young people’s lives.

Our offer to you;

Grade 14 (£43,590 - £45,585)*

* In addition to the annual salary there will be a welcome payment of £5,000 (paid at 6 months with a 24 month tie in) and a further £3,000 retention package (£1,500 to be paid at 12 months and £1,500 to be paid at 20 months service)
