Business Support Officer – Grade 6 (Full Time)

Location: Croydon LIFE Team
Hours: Full Time - 36 hours a week

We are excited to offer an opportunity to join our dynamic LIFE team as a Business Support Officer, providing essential administrative support to services focused on hospital discharges and reablement for vulnerable adults.

This is a key role within the LIFE service, supporting a fast-paced, integrated team that works closely with social care, health professionals, care providers, and hospital staff. Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update the LIFE tracking system multiple times daily.
  • Manage the LIFE inbox, processing high volumes of emails and coordinating communication across professionals.
  • Ensure accuracy of data across all relevant systems, including LAS and NHS platforms.
  • Handle high volumes of calls and emails, often under tight deadlines.
  • Act as a first point of contact for customers, offering advice and guidance with support from social care staff.
  • Provide administrative support across the LIFE service.
  • Collaborate with the Health Administrator to update health-related data.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a business support or administrative role.
  • Strong IT skills, especially in Excel and database systems like Liquid Logic (LAS).
  • Knowledge of NHS systems such as Cerner and EMIS is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information confidentially.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload effectively.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-changing environment.
