Croydon is London’s largest borough, and the council delivers hundreds of essential services our residents rely on, from social care to clean, safe streets. We’re looking for a creative comms professional, who’s passionate about working with local communities, to join our corporate team.
You’ll be first-class communicator, who can create high quality content for all our channels, including digital, socials, e-newsletters, video and print. You’ll have a strong news sense and be highly skilled in narrative, with excellent standards of written communication, an eye for design and attention to detail.
Reporting to the external communications and engagement manager, you’ll be involved delivering a huge range of comms that support our strategic objectives. Working with colleagues across the organisation, you’ll plan and deliver behaviour change campaigns, provide residents with essential information and advice, and help to tell the story of some of our busiest services. We can honestly say no two days are the same!
Listening to residents is a top priority, so we’re looking for someone who is committed to engaging with our diverse communities, as well as our huge range of external partners, and colleagues at all levels of the organisation. If this sounds like you, call us for a chat about the role – contact katie.edland@croydon.gov.uk
