Location: London Borough of Croydon
We have an exciting opportunity for a full time, Vision Rehabilitation Specialist to join the Sensory Impairment Team within adult social care at Croydon Council. In this role, you will conduct assessments and provide rehabilitation services for adult service users who have a visual impairment or dual-sensory impairment and their families. You should have experience of assessing and teaching orientation and mobility skills, low vision skills, and independent living skills to people with significant sight loss.
You will be joining a team of experienced sensory impairment specialists, including Vision Rehabilitation Specialists and a Dual Sensory/Deafblind specialist worker. This is an exciting time to join the Sensory Impairment Team as we continue to develop to meet the growing demand for vision rehabilitation services.

To be considered for this role:
You must have a nationally recognised qualification in Rehabilitation Studies VI (Visual Impairment). VI Habilitation Specialists with dual qualification, those currently undertaking a VI Rehabilitation Studies qualification and newly qualified Vision Rehabilitation Specialists are encouraged to apply.
